The Rovers? run of games against the teams above them continued with a trip to the Fasangarten. After dispatching the Latinos the previous week, could they continue the climb up the table?

The game was evenly matched, with both defences seeming solid and misplaced passes and touches further forward meaning neither team created much of note in the first half. 0-0.

After 15 minutes of the second half, it was the Rovers who took the lead, Ruane demonstrating his new-found touch for goal by rising high from a corner and looping a header into the top corner. Predictably, as the game wore on, the hosts pushed forward more and the Rovers retreated, not helping themselves by giving the ball away too cheaply. And it was one such moment that led to possession being conceded and the gardeners going on an attack. Meyer leaned too heavily into his opponent in the box and the ref had little option but to give a penalty. Duly dispatched, 1-1.
